Testing Procedure

what is involved in a food sensitivity consultation?

nutrimark
the nutrimark system is based on 3 important markers which are all taken into consideration when providing you with any advice and your results. these three markers are:-
  • the frequency with which you eat each of the foods being tested
  • referral to our own guide to the foods most commonly implicated in symptoms of food intolerance/sensitivity
  • results from using a small electronic machine to measure your body`s reaction to each of the foods being tested
if all three markers show a positive result, then we recommend that you eliminate the food in question.

questionnaire
before the test we ask you to complete a questionnaire with details of your medical history and any medicines or remedies you may be taking.

elimination diet
the recognised gold standard for dealing with problems associated with food sensitivity or food intolerance are as follows:
  • examine the history and symptoms
  • test all the foods listed
  • eliminate the potential offenders for one month
  • re-introduce and monitor any symptoms
the nutrimark counsellor will provide you with your personal elimination programme and you will be informed as to how and when to reintroduce any eliminated foods. advice will also be given on nutrition, diet and any possible supplements that may help alleviate your symptoms. this is not a medical diagnosis, nor does it pretend to be. it is a safe self-help programme designed to help ease and eliminate symptoms associated with food intolerance
